Dodge County names conservation wardens
JUNEAU -- Dodge County has two new state conservation wardens.
Jefferson County native Ryan Mannes and Washburn County native Bradley Burton are stationed at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center. Mannes and Burton are graduates of University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in resources management/law enforcement. After college, they were hired by the DNR and completed the law enforcement academy.
Mannes said that he knew early on that he wanted to protect the resources that he grew up enjoying and that he wanted to work in an environment where he can interact with his local communities and make a difference. Burton said he chose this profession because he wanted to protect our natural resources and adds that he is looking forward to increasing his involvement with local sports groups to help with safety education and learn to hunt classes. Mannes will serve mostly the southern region of Dodge County while Burton will cover the western areas.
