QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (AP) _ Talk about taking the plunge.
On a sun-splashed Sunday at The Great Escape amusement park near Lake George in upstate New York, a pair of adventurous, 65-year-old former high school sweethearts got married.
They sat in a roller coaster car while the judge stood on the platform. Then, instead of riding off in a limo or horse-drawn carriage, Don Tuttle and Carol Deeble took The Comet for a ride, an affirmation of their love for each other _ and for thrill rides.
In the front seat _ Deeble with arms upraised, Tuttle holding on _ they took three loops around the clattering coaster, their wedding party and guests in cars behind.
``It was just fantastic,″ Tuttle said. ``They really had that thing humming today.″
And they should know. They have ridden 250 different coasters in places including Singapore, China and Mexico. Their personal record is 108 coasters in one year, a mark they hope to break.
