Authorities are looking to dental records to determine if skeletal remains found Tuesday in Robeson County belong to a former deputy’s missing daughter.

A surveying crew found the remains near the 1200 block of Heritage Road, near the CSX railroad tracks, and the body was taken to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Raleigh.

A deputy with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday said the dental records of Sara Nicole Graham were sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office to see if they matched the remains.

As of Thursday night, the remains had not been positively identified.

Graham, the daughter of a former Robeson County deputies, was 19 when she was last seen on Feb. 4, 2015.

Authorities said she had left her Fairmont home to go to work at a Walmart in Pembroke, but she never arrived. Her car was later found abandoned in a field on East McDonald Road.

The FBI has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to Graham’s location.
