Man hit in car-to-car shooting crashes on California freeway
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a man hit by gunfire in a car-to-car shooting survived after crashing into an embankment on a Southern California freeway.
The California Highway Patrol says the victim was found on the ground next to his white Dodge Challenger on the right shoulder of Interstate 210 in San Bernardino Wednesday evening.
KABC-TV reports Thursday that the 29-year-old man was hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds described as life-threatening.
Investigators say the suspect vehicle is a white sedan, which exited the freeway shortly after the shooting.
A motive has not been identified.
