Boston bracing for 10th annual ‘Zombie March’

October 24, 2015

BOSTON (AP) — It’s uncool — unless you’re undead.

Scores of limping, brain-hungry participants with torn, bloody clothing are expected to take to the streets of Boston for the city’s 10th annual “Zombie March.”

Organizers say the event typically draws between 800 and 2,000 people clad in zombie costumes. They’ll stagger their way from South Station to Government Center on Saturday afternoon.

Event planner Scott Trano tells The Boston Globe (http://bit.ly/1GWss9k ) this year’s march will promote awareness of Extra Life, an online campaign to raise money for hospitalized youngsters.

Trano says the notion of the Zombie March benefiting a charity named Extra Life “was way too good to pass up.”

There are a few rules: no physical conduct with spectators, no scaring children — and no fake blood smeared on storefronts.
