ANGELINA JOLIE PITT - BRAD PITT - DIVORCE TIMING
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Angelina Jolie Pitt is looking to be back on the market before the year is out. The actress has declared in court that she'd like to see her divorce from Brad Pitt go final before the end of the year. The document says Jolie Pitt's lawyers will team up with Pitt's legal team to make sure the divorce is settled by the end of 2018. There are still some issues dividing the estranged couple. Jolie Pitt's court filing says Pitt "has paid no meaningful child support" since the two separated — and she will seek a court order to get retroactive payments from him.

GINA RODRIGUEZ - FIANCE
NEW YORK (AP) — Gina Rodriguez has gotten a lot of positive things from her starring in the TV series, "Jane the Virgin." It has put her career on an upswing, earned her a Golden Globe award — and has given her a platform for her activism and humanitarian work. It has also given her something on a personal level: a husband-to-be. The actress is engaged to Joe LoCicero, who she met when he guest-starred in an episode of the show in 2016. Rodriguez says she was "never the girl that dreamt about" getting married — but always wanted to "meet a really cool partner." And she says she found one in LoCicero. She spoke about the relationship during a media tour for the feminine products company Always. The brand wants to bring awareness to what's called "period poverty." That's where American girls from low-income families miss school because they don't have access to menstrual products.

RUBY ROSE - BATWOMAN
NEW YORK (AP) — Ruby Rose says as a young, gay person, she never felt represented on TV. Now not only will she feel represented — she will be doing the actual representing. The actress, who will be playing Batwoman — will become the first openly gay superhero to headline a TV series. Batwoman will be introduced into the CW lineup staring in December, sandwiched among the network's other DC Comics shows, "Arrow", "The Flash" and "Supergirl." The show is also being developed into a stand-alone series, with a debut set for the 2019-20 TV season. Rose says she is "thrilled and honored" to have the Batwoman role — but is also "an emotional wreck" because of it.
NEW YORK (AP) — ABC's "Bachelorette" Becca Kufrin and her new fiance, Garrett Yrigoyen, are looking to move forward after a wave of controversy. Shortly after the season's premiere, it was discovered that Yrigoyen had liked Instagram posts that mocked transgender people, feminists and Parkland, Florida, shooting survivor David Hogg. He responded quickly by deleting the account and apologizing, describing the likes as "mindless taps." Yrigoyen says the hardest part about the public flap is that his fiance ended up taking criticism for his actions. For her part, Kufrin calls Yrigoyen "one of the most open, supportive men" she's known — and it bothers her that the world didn't see that side of him because of his online activity.

DONALD TRUMP'S WALK OF FAME STAR
WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (AP) — The West Hollywood City Council has unanimously approved a resolution seeking the removal of Donald Trump's star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The council says it wants the star removed because of what it calls the president's "disturbing treatment of women and other actions." But even though the measure has been passed, it won't mean the star is going away. The tourist attraction is in neighboring Los Angeles — and it's run by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The chamber's president tells The Los Angeles Times it has never removed a star before and since each is part of the walk's "historic fabric," it's unlikely to do so. The vote comes after a man took a pickax to the star last month, destroying it.
MICKEY MOUSE - 90TH
LOS ANGELES (AP) — He hasn't aged much — at least in the movies and on TV. But before you know it, Mickey Mouse will be 90. And ABC wants to make you part of the party. The network — owned by Disney — is planning a two-hour special called "Mickey's 90th Spectacular." It will air Nov. 4. No word on who will be on the special. Mickey Mouse made his debut in "Steamboat Willie," which was released Nov. 18, 1928.

NEW YORK (AP) — NBC is having a hot summer when it comes to the ratings wars. It has posted the best week for a TV network since the NBA Finals were on ABC two months ago. Leading the way for NBC was "America's Got Talent," seen by nearly 12 million people last week. That's more than four million more viewers who watched anything else on TV. Also helping NBC's numbers is a new crafting show called "Making It." The show, hosted by former "Parks and Recreation" co-stars Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman, drew 5.2 million people, making it the most-watched new show of the summer.
