LOWELL -- Fire Chief Jeffrey Winward expects six people will be displaced following a fire in a ten unit building at 94 1st St., which started around 3 p.m. Thursday.

No one was injured, he said. Firefighters were searching for a missing cat and extinguishing hot spots about 45 minutes after the fire was reported.

Winward said the fire started in the rear of the building.
