HUNTINGTON — Two Huntington parents were jailed Friday after police found evidence of a marijuana grow operation at an allegedly bug-ridden residence in deplorable condition.

Bethany Lynn Henderson and Brian Dean Henderson, both 36, were jailed at 2:45 a.m. Friday. They were charged by the Cabell County Sheriff’s Department w it h possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and child neglect. Their bonds were set at $100,000 cash-only.

According to the criminal complaint filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court, Cabell sheriff ’s deputies executed a search warrant in the 1500 block of Hal Greer Boulevard in Huntington and discovered items consistent with a marijuana grow operation. The items included approximately 13 marijuana plants and used bags of soil products.

Brian Henderson was seen walking from the location where the alleged grow operation was found and Bethany Henderson was inside the home at the time the search warrant was executed.

Two young children were inside the home at the time the warrant was executed, and the home was found with clutter throughout. Deputies found numerous insects, including roaches, crawling on walls in the bedroom and kitchen areas of the home.

In the upstairs of the home, numerous 2-liter soda bottles filled with a tan liquid consistent with urine were found, deputies said.

An unsecured, loaded firearm was also found in the upstairs of the home on a bed with marijuana lying beside it.

Both defendants are housed at Western Regional Jail in Barboursville.
