Williams Cos.: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Williams Cos. (WMB) on Wednesday reported second-quarter earnings of $135 million.
The Tulsa, Oklahoma-based company said it had profit of 16 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 17 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 16 cents per share.
The pipeline operator posted revenue of $2.09 billion in the period.
Williams Cos. shares have dropped slightly more than 1 percent since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index has increased 5 percent. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $30.05, a decrease of slightly more than 5 percent in the last 12 months.
