January 24, 2019

A 24-year-old Kingman resident was arrested Tuesday after Kingman Police officers received reports of a suspicious person. Officers arrived at the address and located Brandon Stott, who appeared to be suffering from a medical issue while sitting inside a vehicle that was parked within a fenced yard. Paramedics attempted to assist Stott when he attempted to flee the scene on foot, the report said. A Kingman Police officer attempted to grab Stott, who allegedly turned and attempted to punch the officer.

Stott was taken into custody, and the following investigation allegedly revealed that Stott entered two parked cars that did not belong to him, with the intent to steal those vehicles’ contents. Stott was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia at the time of his arrest.

Stott was transported to Mohave County Jail and booked on charges of vehicle burglary, aggravated assault, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remained in custody as of Wednesday evening on $2,500 bond.
