Man arrested on assault charges

HUNTINGTON — The following information was provided by criminal complaints filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court:

One person was jailed Thursday night on a sexual assault charge in connection with an incident that occurred Sept. 26 in which two suspects allegedly attacked a female victim in an attempt to retrieve money out of her vagina.

Dorian A. Jordan, 43, was jailed at 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with second-degree sexual assault. Bond was set at $5,000.

According to the complaint, Jordan and another suspect allegedly lured the victim behind Jordan’s residence in the 1600 block of Madison Avenue in Huntington and held her down, stripped her of her clothes and penetrated her vagina with their hands, attempting to take money she had placed there.

The complaint states the victim told police Jordan was violent and struck her several times during the incident, once on the face with a closed fist. The complaint also states the victim was found by police without clothes and crying for help after she fled the area.

The Huntington Police Department listed 23 new incident reports in the 24-hour period ending at 3 p.m. Friday, according to the printout released by the department. However, the individual police reports were not made available, so these are the only known details:

Stolen auto/auto theft, noon Thursday, 500 block of 28th Street.

Found property, possession of marijuana, 2:03 a.m. Thursday, 600 block of 4th Avenue.
