Columbus Days Parade still happening

The Columbus Days Parade planned for 3 p.m. today is still set to take place, organizers confirmed this morning, despite the rainy weather.
The combined band made of area high schools will perform.
Residents are encouraged to bring an umbrella and come down to Frankfort Square to enjoy the festivities.
Despite the rainy weather, Columbus Days activities are still ready to go.
The turtle races set for 11 a.m. and the Husker pep rally set for 1 p.m. will both be located under one of the two big tents in Frankfort Square, officials said.
The Celebrate Ag Luncheon is also planned to run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. under a big tent there.
The iDance performance and dachshund races have been canceled.
