OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Seven people have been identified for threatening basketball referee John Higgins after an NCAA Tournament game in March. A Nebraska prosecutor says information will be referred to authorities in their jurisdictions and to the FBI’s Omaha field office. Higgins saw his roofing company inundated with harassing emails, phone calls and voice mails, including death threats, following Kentucky’s 75-73 loss to North Carolina in the South Region final.

STERLING, Va. (AP) — Bernhard Langer (LAHN’-gur) has a two-shot lead midway through the Senior PGA Championship after a second-round 67 at Trump National in Virginia. Langer took advantage of calm conditions this morning to play the last five holes of his second round in 1 under. The tournament was delayed yesterday because of wind that caused golf balls to move on the greens. The 59-year-old German is going for a record ninth senior major.

HOUSTON (AP) — Astros ace Dallas Keuchel (KY’-kehl) is expected to come off the 10-day disabled list and start at home tonight against Baltimore. The lefty has been out because of a pinched nerve in his neck. He’s 7-0 with a 1.84 ERA, including a dominant 3-0 mark with a 0.94 ERA at Minute Maid Park. Also set to return is catcher Brian McCann, who’s been on the concussion DL.

NEW YORK (AP) — Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman has been cleared to start playing catch, after resting his arm for two weeks. The 29-year-old lefty, who last year helped the Chicago Cubs win their first World Series title since 1908, hasn’t thrown in a game since May 13 because of tendinitis and bursitis in his pitching shoulder. Chapman is 1-0 with a 3.55 ERA and seven saves in eight chances this year.

MONACO (AP) — Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen (KEE’-mee RAY’-koh-nehn) has taken the pole position for the Monaco Grand Prix. The 37-year-old Finnish driver got a leading time of 1 minute, 12.178 seconds — just ahead of his teammate Sebastian Vettel. Title contender Lewis Hamilton failed to make the top 10 in a significant blow for Mercedes.
