Man arrested in weekend killing in Everett

EVERETT, Mass. (AP) — An Everett man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in the Boston suburb on Saturday.

District Attorney Marian Ryan said 26-year-old Rigoberto Escobar was arrested at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday. He is charged with killing a Nantucket man, 32-year-old Magno Sosa.

Ryan said Sosa was found shot several times in the head at about 2 a.m. Saturday at a home on Elmwood Street in Everett.

Escobar is held at the Everett police station until his arraignment on a murder charge, expected Tuesday in Malden District Court. It is not immediately known if he has an attorney.
