Thousands Enjoy Broomfield Days
Thousands of participants turned out Friday, Saturday and Sunday for Broomfield Days events. From the Friday golf tournament and street dance to Saturday’s full day of activities, fun was had by all.
Saturday began with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Lions Club, and followed by a race/walk and the Broomfield Days parade. Then, a slate of events took place at Midway Park, from the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce trade show, to performances and music on multiple stages.
A crowd favorite, DockDogs, attracted water-loving canines as they competed for air leaping into the pond at South Midway Park.
Saturday night, the Lions Club sponsored Bingo, and Sunday’s events ended with the final DockDogs competitions.
Due to high temperatures, the Best Dressed Dog Show was postponed Saturday and instead will be held Tuesday at the Broomfield Farmers’ Market at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church, at the corner of U.S. 287 and West 10th Avenue. The Farmers’ Market is from 4 to 7 p.m.
