Orchids and Onions: Saturday, November 10, 2018

November 10, 2018

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Onions to the idea of wanting to put homeless shelters south of Rotary Park. Haven’t you heard the saying “If you build it they will come?” Let the big cities that have the money and resources attempt that project.

Onions to LHUSD for their poor management of the Jr. High Student Council field trip to Phoenix. We appreciated getting our children up at 3:00 am to wait in the school parking lot with teachers from 4:15 to 5:30 am for a bus that didn’t show up. No accountability in the obligatory “sorry” text.

Orchids to Alignment Dr. You guys are the best. Thank you so much for such a great job. Dave and Judy

Onions to Havasu Furniture and Bedding, telling me that they can only fix my broken couch if I bring it in, or pay $49.00 to pick it up. Why not just fix it in my house? It is only a spring! Shopping elsewhere for sure.

Onions to the snakes in sheep’s clothing. Take a long look at your unethical past and current behavior. Those who ride with the snake become the snake. There’s a saying what goes around comes around. Stick to your vagabond life and pedal away back to the 70’s.

Orchids to Born’s Best Sandwiches. 5-Star Service every time. Thank you for showing this town what good customer service looks like.

Onions to the voting attendant at the election place who told my grandson, voting for the first time, he needed to work on his penmanship. Not her place. Shame on her. Hope he will not be discouraged from voting in the future. Art Barker

Onions to the onion about Depends not being the same as in South Dakota. This is LHC. Not South Dakota. How about bringing a pallet load with you the next time you come here?

Onion to the Onion about club having 7 TVs and 3 boxes. Cough up some of your own money to donate for the extra boxes for you. Give the bartenders a break too. They are there to serve drinks.

Orchids to the election...Finally no more annoying commercials, signs, ads, texts, phone calls, emails, and mailers. Whew! At least no air drop leaflets...yet.

Orchids to Aster Elder Care owner Carleena and her caregivers for taking care of my mom for almost 3 years and while she was passing. I am very pleased that she was in your care during this time.
