ViaSat: Fiscal 1Q Earnings Snapshot
CARLSBAD, Calif. (AP) _ ViaSat Inc. (VSAT) on Thursday reported a loss of $34 million in its fiscal first quarter.
The Carlsbad, California-based company said it had a loss of 57 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to 30 cents per share.
The provider of satellite and wireless networking technology posted revenue of $438.9 million in the period, topping Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $435.1 million.
ViaSat shares have decreased 4 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $71.77, a rise of 19 percent in the last 12 months.
