Suspect arrested in slaying of Ohio man
Police have arrested a suspect wanted for the slaying of a 60-year-old Cecil, Ohio, man shot to death inside his home Thursday.
Michael Kent Loop, 32, of Defiance, Ohio, is charged with a felony count of murder and being held at the Paulding County Jail, according to a news release.
Officers said they found the victim, Philip V. Koenn, dead from apparent gunshot wounds about 12:30 p.m. He lived alone at the residence.
Paulding County Sheriff Jason K. Landers said police believe other suspects may be involved in the killing and the investigation is ongoing.
“We are not done,” he said in a news release. Landers added that an earlier report saying two people fled the area was inaccurate.
“Witnesses only actually saw one person at the scene of the crime,” he said.
