Group attacks man from behind during robbery in Ohio City

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 30-year-old man was attacked and robbed by a group while walking from a restaurant in Ohio City, police said.

The incident happened about 7:45 p.m. Friday on Clinton Avenue and West 38th Street, police reports say.

The man told police he picked up food from the restaurant and was walking back home when three men “clubbed” him in the head from behind, police reports say.

The group took the man’s headphones, wallet and cellphone, police reports say. The trio ran off. No arrests have been made in the case.

Later in the day, the man reported that his stolen credit cards were used at a Prestige gas station on Buckeye Road and East 88th Street and a Sunoco gas station. But he didn’t know the address.
