Burglar Found in His Underwear ... in Police Chief’s House
HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. (AP) _ An intruder found wearing only underwear has been charged with burglary for drinking half a quart of chocolate milk - in the police chief’s house, authorities said.
Chief Edward Plowman returned home Sunday to find his kitchen door broken and an intruder in an upstairs bedroom.
″He had everything off but his bikini underwear and he was pretending he was asleep in one of the beds,″ said Sgt. Dave Shiffler. ″Sounds like ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears,’ doesn’t it?″
Ivan Sollon Henry, 23, of Altoona was charged with trespassing, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and drunkenness. He also was charged with theft, burglary and receiving stolen property.
″He took a quart of chocolate milk out of the refrigerator and then he went upstairs and started ransacking one of the bedrooms,″ Shiffler said.
Henry was arraigned Tuesday and released on $25,000 bail.
Hollidaysburg, 80 miles east of Pittsburgh, has about 16,600 residents.
″I don’t think he knew what house he was in,″ Shiffler said.
