PHOTOS: Arena Hosts Open Skate For Toys For Tots

The 15th annual Toys for Tots Open Skate was held Thursday at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre Twp. The event is presented by Utz Snack Foods in support of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. Participants were able to bring a new, unwrapped toy or make a $5 contribution to skate on the ice at the arena. During the open skate there was also a special holiday performance by skaters from the Diamond City Figure Skating Club and Santa Tux from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins was also in attendance. Free Utz snacks were available to guests and refreshments were also available for purchase with partial proceeds going to Toys for Tots. Participants also had the chance to win prizes, such as tickets for upcoming Mohegan Sun Arena events.
