Lehigh 93, Albright 77

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) _ Brett Eppenheimer had a school-record eight 3-pointers and a career-high 39 points to lead Lehigh to a 93-77 victory over Albright on Tuesday.

Lehigh moved to 3-0 for the first time since 1938, while Albright fell to 1-2.

Lehigh led through much of the contest, with Albright narrowing the gap to 44-41 with 18:27 left in the game. Eppenheimer scored Lehigh’s next 17 points, helping to push his team to a 61-54 lead.

Eppenheimer connected on nine of nine free throws and eight of 10 shots from beyond the arc.

Shawn Swavley led Albright with 26 points and James Drewry added 22.

Jared Hess added 19 points for Lehigh, while Fido Willybiro and Damien McGill registered five rebounds.

Lehigh finished with a 1-26 record last year.
