Wagner 69, Fairleigh-Dickenson 63
NEW YORK (AP) _ Terrance Bailey scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half as last-place Wagner upset first-place Fairleigh-Dickenson 69-63 in an ECAC Metro Conference basketball game Saturday night.
FDU led 33-29 at halftime on the strength of Damari Riddick’s 13 points. He finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Wagner, which also got 15 points from freshman forward Dean Borges, took the lead for good at 56-55 on a Gerard Fraser drive with 4:11 remaining in the game. Then Bailey scored 10 of Wagner’s final 11 points as the winners built a 69-58 lead with 23 seconds remaining.
Fairleigh-Dickenson, now 10-5 overall and 4-2 in the conference, also got 11 points from reserve forward Jaime Latney.
Fraser added 13 points and Largest Agbejemisin had 12 for Wagner, 8-7 and 2-4.
