Journalists Guglielmo Zucconi, Dino Curto and Francesco D’Amato conducted the Feb. 13 newscast ″Speciale News″ broadcast by Channel 5 private network.

Six million people saw the program on Italy’s drug problem, which showed a drug addict identified only as Claudio B. injecting himself with heroin.

Channel 5 officials said the live broadcast of the injection was intended to stress the dangers of drug use.
