WVSA Launches New Website

November 20, 2018

HANOVER TWP. — The Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority on Monday launched a redesigned, more user-friendly website. Customers will have access to information via convenient dropdown links and other enhanced search tools, as well as a full range of online bill payment options. Still located at www.wvsa.org, the new site is part of the authority’s rebranding campaign, which is described in the “Welcome” section of the website. While the authority has always provided wastewater treatment services, its newer stormwater management role made it “imperative” that the website support its public outreach and education goals, said Donna Gillis, WVSA spokeswoman. There is a document retention center for 31 municipalities participating in the authority’s Regional Stormwater Management Program, and a Stormwater Management section for residents. Users can complete a Stormwater Management Residential Fee Credit Survey, which will allow WVSA to gauge customers’ interest in earning stormwater fee credits through best management practices. Collected responses may influence changes to the Stormwater Fee Credit Policy, available online. Questions and comments about the program may also be submitted via the website. CivicPlus developed the new website at a cost of $6,000. The authority will pay $1,995 annually for site maintenance. — STAFF REPORT
