Boston Brands of Maine investing in $4M expansion, 50 jobs
LEWISTON, Maine (AP) — Boston Brands of Maine has announced a $4 million expansion of the company’s Lewiston, Maine, facility that is expected to create 50 new jobs.
Boston Brands of Maine is a bottling facility that bottles the popular Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey and other liquors.
Maine Gov. Janet Mills and Heather Johnson, commissioner of the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, announced the expansion Wednesday with company officials.
Plant manager Andy Muschinski said the investment will increase the plant’s capacity by 20% and replace an older production line with a more efficient one.
The plant has 169 employees and the average starting wage is $14.50 to $19.50 an hour.
The same plant announced a $1 million expansion and 30 new jobs in 2017.
