FATAL RANCH ACCIDENT _ A 30-year-old Montana ranch worker has died in an accident involving a hay bale. The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim of the accident last Thursday as Kelsey Driscoll.

CONVICTION OVERTURNED-LAWSUIT _ A former Missoula resident whose rape conviction was overturned after he spent years in prison has filed a lawsuit alleging Missoula County mishandled the case.

POLICE PURSUIT-FATAL _ A 17-year-old Montana boy died when the car he was riding in crashed while being pursued by a Bureau of Indian Affairs officer on the Crow Indian Reservation.

DRUG COURTS _ A new report touts the effectiveness of drug treatment courts but says most Montanans with a drug conviction don’t have access to them.

FORMER NAACP LEADER-WELFARE FRAUD _ A March 4 trial date has been set in a welfare fraud case involving a former NAACP leader in Washington state whose life unraveled in 2015 after she was exposed as a white woman pretending to be black.
