England bats first in 4th ODI vs. Sri Lanka
COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) — England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to bat in the fourth one-day game against Sri Lanka at R. Premadasa Stadium on Sunday.
Morgan was standing in for regular captain Alastair Cook who was suspended for this match for a slow over rate in the third game which England won.
England named James Taylor to the vacant batsman’s slot.
Mahela Jayawardene returned for Sri Lanka having missed the third match citing personal reasons. Thilina Kandamby who had a disappointing return to international cricket in three years in the last game makes way.
