BISMARCK, N.D. _ The former Mandan Junior High School has been transformed into 39 units of affordable housing. Historic Apartments on 4th features apartments, a wellness center, large community spaces for meetings and social gatherings, a day care center and private playground. Wisconsin-based Commonwealth Cos. purchased the property, which also previously housed Mandan’s high school, elementary school and an academy for sixth-graders, in September 2017 and construction began two months later. MINOT, N.D. _ Members of the 5th Maintenance Squadron at Minot Air Force Base whose military job is working on B-52s are volunteering their time to refurbish warbirds at the Dakota Territory Air Museum in Minot. They are working with the air museum’s longtime refurbishing crew Darrel Kerzmann, coordinator of volunteers, Arvid Pomeroy, Dave Smith and Tim Lett, all Air Force retirees, to refurbish a C-47.
