Lowell Girls Rout Burlington
Led by Kaleigh Dunham, who collected 6 goals and an assist, the Lowell High girls lacrosse team cruised past Burlington, 15-5, in a non-leaguer Monday.
Lilly Diamantopolous was also a force with 3 goals and 1 assist. Abigail Mitchell (2 goals, assist) and Casey Mitchell (goal, 2 assists) contributed 3-point days. Also starring were Sarah Abraham with a goal and assist, and Hannah McAnespie and Nora Fubaro with a goal each.
Isabella Marsden made 10 saves.

The Cards rolled to a 25-15, 25-16, 25-22 win.
Joe Noon led BG (2-1) with an ace, 9 kills, 3 blocks and 6 digs. Victor Martinez added 6 aces, 3 kills and 9 digs. Also starring were Chris Barillas (3 aces, 3 kills, 19 assists, 7 digs) and DJ Omogrosso (2 aces, 5 blocks).
Despite a 4-goal, 2-assist performance from junior midfielder Brendan Tighe, the Red Raiders were nipped in the non-league battle.
Junior Owen Goulette (assist) and sophomore attack Kyle Shanahan each scored 3 goals. Aidan Finn chipped in with a goal, Jack Frediani added an assist and Cam Trull played well.
Goaltender Andrew Carrabis made 12 saves.
The inaugural Rita Briggs Memorial Softball Tournament kicks off Tuesday at Ayer Shirley Regional High School.
The first game, at 11 a.m., features North Middlesex and Groton-Dunstable. The second game is Clinton vs. Ayer Shirley. The consolation and championship games will be contested at 10 and 12:30 Thursday.
