No. 21 Kansas 84, Baylor 74

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ Lynn Pride scored 28 points to lead No. 21 Kansas past Baylor 84-74 Tuesday night.

Kansas (12-3, 2-0 Big 12) led 37-31 at halftime, and opened the second half with an 11-2 run.

Kansas shot 63 percent from the floor in the second half but had to withstand a late rally when Baylor (8-5, 0-2) cut the lead to 74-68 with 3:27 left.

But after a timeout, Kansas scored the next six points on a layup and free throw by Jennifer Jackson, two free throws by Pride and a free throw by Nakia Sanford.

Pride, who had a career-high 29 points Saturday against Texas A&M, also had a game-high eight rebounds.

Three other Jayhawks scored in double figures. Brooke Reves had 18 points, Jackson 13 and Jaclyn Johnson scored 10.

Baylor was led by Kacy Moffit and Toya Ellis with 17 points each and Ellis had seven rebounds.
