TRAIN HITS CAR-IDS — Two sisters from Greeley were identified as the victims of a collision between a train and a car in northern Colorado. The Greeley Tribune reports obituaries identify the victims of the collision in Platteville as 30-year-old Alyssa Marie Montoya and 27-year-old Monica Delores Montoya. Their funerals are scheduled for Friday morning.
SNOWBOARDER DEATH — A Vail ski academy teacher has died in a backcountry snowboarding accident at the East Vail Chutes. Fellow snowboarder John Spriggs tells the Vail Daily that Bindu Sky Pomeroy went off a jump and landed head first in deep snow Tuesday morning.
DENVER — The Pittsburgh Penguins visit the Colorado Avalanche in NHL action Wednesday night. Game starts at 7:30 p.m.
BOULDER — Portland plays Colorado at Coors Events Center on Wednesday night in a non-conference matchup. Game starts at 7 p.m.

AIR FORCE ACADEMY — Missouri State plays Air Force at Clune Arena in non-conference play Wednesday night. Game starts 7:15 p.m.
DENVER — Northern Colorado plays Denver at Magness Arena on Wednesday night. Game starts 7 p.m.
