Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker to headline Put-in-Bay’s third Bash on the Bay in August 2019

PUT-IN-BAY, Ohio – Headliner Kid Rock will be joined by fellow Michigan native Uncle Kracker at Put-in-Bay’s third annual Bash on the Bay next August.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, for the Aug. 29 event, held on the grounds of the Put-in-Bay airport. Ticket prices start at $79.

Other performers include Brent Lowery and the Drifters, Davisson Brothers Band and The Menus.

Organizer Tim Niese, a long-time Put-in-Bay business owner, is billing the event as a country music festival, but Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, has his roots in hip-hop. Since his early days in Detroit in the 1990s, Kid Rock has expanded his sound to include rock, heavy metal and country. Among his biggest hits: “All Summer Long,” “Picture” and “Bawitdaba.”

Uncle Kracker, real name Matthew Shafer, worked as a DJ and vocalist for Kid Rock in the 1990s. His solo hits include “Follow Me” and “In a Little While.”

The first Bash on the Bay, in 2017, featured Toby Keith; the second, held this past August, included Rascal Flatts as headliner. For information: bashonthebay.com.
