According to the Red Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania, in the past year the organization has responded to more than 160 disasters providing emergency assistance to nearly 700 people, installed more than 2,700 free smoke alarms, trained nearly 10,000 people in first aid, CPR, AED and other lifesaving skills and taught more than 2,600 elementary school students about emergency preparedness.
