SEATTLE (AP) _ Omeros Corporation (OMER) on Thursday reported a loss of $33.7 million in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Seattle-based company said it had a loss of 70 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 60 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 66 cents per share.
The drug developer posted revenue of $1.7 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.8 million.
Omeros shares have increased 12 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $21.70, a drop of 13 percent in the last 12 months.
