RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police have arrested a 27-year-old suspect they say is responsible for 522 instances of graffiti totaling $63,000 worth of damage.
Police said Friday Matthew Rivera was arrested and booked into the county jail on felony charges of graffiti or defacing property on Thursday. He was being held Friday in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
The graffiti damaged both public and private property. All of it has now been cleaned up or painted over.
It’s not clear if Rivera has a lawyer or will be appointed one.
