Suspect arrested after fatal stabbing at hotel, police say

UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) — State police say a suspect was arrested after a stabbing death at a western Pennsylvania hotel on Christmas Day.

Police in Fayette County said troopers responded to the Holiday Inn Express off Route 40 in South Union Township at about 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said a suspect was in custody but released no other information about that person, the victim or the circumstances of the stabbing.

Trooper Robert Broadwater said there was no threat to the public and the investigation continued.
