The following preliminary hearings are scheduled before District Judge Ken Johnson in Somerset:

Retail theft

Angela Hoffman, 52, Deal Street, Somerset, was charged Thursday with retail theft. According to a probable-cause affidavit, on Jan. 26 Hoffman stole $69.01 worth of items from Walmart along North Center Avenue in Somerset Township. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:50 a.m. June 18.

Drug possession

William Wilkes, 21, Milow Kimmel Road, Friedens, was charged Monday with felony manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered; marijuana possession; drug paraphernalia possession; and a summary offense. According to a probable-cause affidavit, on April 24 state police responded to a rollover vehicle accident along Route 219 in Lincoln Township. Wilkes was a passenger in the vehicle. Police found amphetamine, a digital scale, hundreds of unused plastic baggies, hundreds of rubber bands, lithium batteries and a joint on Wilkes, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing had yet to be scheduled Tuesday evening.Shayne Perdue, 32, Ogden Street, Philadelphia, was charged Saturday with marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession. According to a probable-cause affidavit, police found marijuana, THC oil, a metal grinder, a smoking device with residue and a vape pen in a vehicle Perdue was passenger in on April 28 during a traffic stop on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Somerset Township. Perdue claimed the items, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. June 18.
