One injured in collision on 27th Street

Scottsbluff Police are investigating a collision that occurred at the intersection of 27th Street and Avenue D.

The crash occurred at about 8:16 a.m. Tuesday. One woman was transported to Regional West Medical Center.

According to information from the Scottsbluff Police Department, Cedees Hernandez, 16, driving a 2010 Nissan Altima, and Kimberly Marquez, 52, driving a 2012 Chevrolet Impala, collided in the intersection. At the time of the crash, Marquez had been traveling eastbound on 27th Street and Hernandez had been attempting to turn left onto West 27th Street from Avenue D. Marquez told police that a trash truck had passed and obstructed her vision.

Both vehicles required towing from the scene. No citations were issued on scene.

Scottsbluff Fire Department and Valley Ambulance also responded.
