Lloyd was a last-minute replacement for the injured Pat Cash in a round-robin group that also includes Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe.
In other matches, McEnroe beat Borg 7-5, 6-4; Henri Leconte defeated Jeremy Bates 6-2, 6-4; and Yannick Noah beat Mansour Bahrami 5-7, 6-3 and 10-4 in the tiebreaker used in senior events.
