HS SOFTBALL: Repshis Sparks West Scranton

By Matt BufanoMay 21, 2019

HANOVER TWP. — West Scranton center fielder Tatum Repshis stepped on the field and looked like a standout.

And that was before the first pitch was thrown in Monday’s District 2 Class 4A softball quarterfinal at Hanover Area.

“Even in warmups, she was crushing the ball. I know it was only soft-toss, but still — she just crushed the ball,” Hanover Area head coach Kathy Healey said of Repshis. “She had a great game.”

That greatness spelled defeat for the Hawkeyes, who watched the junior rip three hits including a home run, drive in three and steal a pair of bases in West Scranton’s 6-3 win.
