CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A West Virginia teenager has died after crashing his truck into a tractor.

WSAZ-TV reports that authorities say 18-year-old Tyler James Smith hit the tractor then a telephone pole in a Go Mart parking lot in Charleston early Thursday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Herbert Hoovers Assistant Principal Jason Cantrell tells the station that Smith had just graduated at the end of May with a welding degree.
