Help beautify the community by taking part in To Norfolk With Love

September 5, 2018

NORFOLK - Multiple churches and organizations throughout Norfolk will be coming together next weekend To Norfolk With Love.

Lead organizer and Pastor of First Baptist Church Caleb Lind says their goal is to have 20 projects throughout Norfolk where anyone can serve and participate.

“We will have a project at the animal shelter of Northeast Nebraska where people can clean out kennels and walk dogs. We’re working with Bright Horizons which is a local domestic abuse shelter by doing some painting and clean-up. We’re also partnering with the Parks and Recreation by painting outdoor park equipment. We’ll also be out at the Art’s Center, Elkhorn Valley Museum, and Rescue Mission.”

Lind says the event is similar to a different one in the past called Brush Up Norfolk where a couple churches got together to paint a few houses in one day.

He says last year was the first year that they held the event and had 97 volunteers, but their goal this year is to have 200 to 300 volunteers.

The event will run from 9 A.M. to noon September 15th.
