Pakistan to bat first in 1st T20 against Sri Lanka

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) — Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has won the toss and elected to bat first in the first of the two Twenty20 matches at R. Premadasa Stadium on Thursday.

Sri Lanka has handed international caps to three players — left-arm fast bowler Binura Fernando, leg spinner Jeffrey Vendersay and batsman Dhananjaya de Silva.

Dinesh Chandimal and Lahiru Thirimanne have been omitted from the series.
