Thorne Named Peoria Correspondent
PEORIA, Ill. (AP) _ Christopher Thorne, a newsman in the Albany, N.Y., bureau of The Associated Press, has been named correspondent in Peoria.
The appointment was announced today by Illinois Chief of Bureau James F. Wilson.
Thorne, 30, joined the AP in Albany in 1996 after working for The Times Herald-Record of Middletown, N.Y. He is a native of Philadelphia and a graduate of Pace University.
He succeeds Christopher Wills, who was promoted to correspondent in charge of the AP’s Springfield, Ill., bureau.
