KANKAKEE — Kankakee police are looking for a man accused of stabbing his girlfriend during a domestic dispute on Sept. 28.

According to a report, the victim said she argued with her boyfriend on and off all day.

The victim went to bed to avoid further arguing.

It started up again after he woke her up to go out and buy beer. When she returned, they argued some more.

According to the victim, the suspect punched her, and she, in turn, punched him. She then went back to sleep.

The victim awoke to find him on top of her with a knife and stabbing her. She told officers she held up her left arm to protect herself.

The suspect fled the home on foot after children in the house woke up after hearing the victim’s screams and walked in on the suspect stabbing the victim.

The victim was treated for her injuries at a local hospital.
