Death Of Man Shot In North Scranton Ruled Homicide By Coroner

The death of a 20-year-old man killed in a North Scranton shooting on Sunday morning has been ruled a homicide, Lackawanna County Coroner Tim Rowland said Wednesday. Parker Palermo died from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. The shooting happened on the 1800 block of North Main Avenue, about 100 feet south of the Castle club, just after the establishment closed at 5 a.m. Police reported that two other men were wounded during the shooting. A bullet struck one man in his shoulder. He is in stable condition. Another bullet struck a man in his face. He is critical. They have not been identified as the investigation proceeds. Police also have not yet identified the man who shot Palermo. A candlelight vigil in Palermo’s memory is planned for 8:30 p.m. tonight at the first pavilion by the pool at Nay Aug Park.
