Singer Ordered To Appear in Court
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) _ A judge has ordered pop singer Marc Anthony to appear in court to respond to charges that he assaulted a local television personality.
Leo Fernandez III, who appears on a gossip show, filed a lawsuit claiming that Anthony assaulted him during a July news conference when he asked if Anthony’s wife, former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, was pregnant.
Anthony, whose hits include ``I Need to Know,″ would not confirm rumors of his wife’s pregnancy during his visit to Puerto Rico, but the couple later announced that they are expecting a child early next year.
Fernandez is seeking unspecified damages.
