Pomona, Meridiana communities have plenty to offer

December 16, 2018

South of Houston in proximity to Pearland Town Center, with convenient access to the Texas Medical Center, major employment centers and downtown are the master-planned communities of Pomona and Meridiana. Getting around town will be even easier with the construction of the Brazoria Country Expressway underway.

Both communities offer on-site education, various outdoor activities, lifestyle directors, clubhouses, resort-style swimming pools and other amenities.

Pomona by Hillwood, where Highland Homes offers 50- and 65-foot homesites, is located 15 miles from the Medical Center. Zoned to Alvin ISD, with more than 300 events a year to bring together neighbors, homes by Highland start in the $270,000s and $370,000s. Less than 3 miles from in-town conveniences but surrounded by hundreds of acres of open space, greenbelts and marshland, Pomona blends small-town charm and big-city living. There are currently nine move-in ready Highland homes and numerous home plans and lots available for those wishing to make their own selections.

Meridiana by Rise Communities was recently awarded the 2018 Community of the Year and the 2018 Developer of the Year awards by the Texas Association of Builders and received four additional awards at the Greater Houston Builder Association’s PRISM Awards. Meridiana features an onsite cafe, learning labs for children, lake with community “yacht,” fitness center, conservatory, fitness center and football stadium, community clubs, 100-acre park, and sport fields.

In Meridiana, Highland Homes offers homes on 40-, 50- (gated section) and 65-foot lots starting in the $230,000s and $340,000s. There are currently five inventory homes, 20 home plans and more than 30 lot opportunities available. New 50- and 65-foot models are coming over the next couple of months.
