Maine lobsterman gets jail time for trying to ram skiff
ROCKLAND, Maine (AP) — A Maine lobsterman has been sentenced to 45 days in jail for trying to ram a small boat.
The Courier Gazette reports that 32-year-old Carl Gross of Vinalhaven pleaded guilty last year.
He was convicted of using his lobster boat to threaten two men by trying to ram the skiff they were in on Nov. 30, 2016. The two men were able to get off the skiff and onto some floats.
Gross also was sentenced on Thursday to a concurrent 45-day sentence on an unrelated domestic assault charge.
